On Monday, 24th June we were very excited to welcome gold medal winning rugby Paralympian, Kylie Grimes to Springfield! With the help of Courtney Orange, a commonwealth Gymnast from Sports for Schools, Kylie put the children through their paces in a fitness circuit to music. There was lots of cheering and excitement involved! The visit then ended with an assembly presented by Kylie. There were lots of opportunities for the children to ask questions and they all sat and listened beautifully whilst Kylie showed them her Olympic gold medal, which she won in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, she told them her story and how she got into wheelchair rugby. The Children all said that they had a great afternoon and we hope that they came away inspired. The total raised through sponsorship was an incredible £2367.90!
