Makaton

Our School is a ‘Total Communication Environment’. We use Makaton signs in conjunction with symbols to enhance the communication and learning for all the Children at Springfield.

Our Singing Assemblies also feature Makaton signing.

The Children learn a new sign each week in class. We encouraged the children to use the signs when communicating key sayings, for example ‘Good Morning’.
