The children made their way to Davisons through some incredibly heavy rain. After shedding soggy coats and shoes the children were ready to go. They practiced their well learned routines with confidence and smiles.

Our Springfield gymnasts performed marvellously, supporting each other to remember the floor routines and showing the judges their best vault work. The children managed especially well despite the vault table being higher than the one they had been practicing on.

Year 1 Rugby Festival at Thomas A Becket Junior School.

First any Year 1 children who wanted to give Rugby a try went for a taster session with Mrs Kingston. Our most enthusiastic Rugby stars were then selected to go to the Rugby Festival.

Our team of super Year 1 rugby players took part in a wide variety of activities that put into practice all the skills they’ve been working on over the past few weeks, such as passing the ball, kicking, and working as a team. Despite the gusty conditions, all those that took part impressed with their enthusiasm and willingness to give it a go!

Unfortunately some of our Rugby team were poorly on the day of receiving their certificates in our Celebration Assembly.
